If you are wanting to install the Thule Xsporter Pro on your 2016 Toyota Tacoma the correct part number is # TH500XT-XK4.
The # THXK3 you referenced is for the older Tacomas. For your 2016 Tacoma the included adapter is the part # THXK4 which is what your truck would need.
The tonneau of your truck would need to come off too since the rack wraps around the inside of the bed rail which is where you tonneau would attach.
