Question:
We just purchased our 5th wheel our 1st and a repo and it had no spare. The tires on it now are P235 75R15 on a 6 lug wheel. We need a spare and Im wondering if the P235 75R15 is the correct tire for our 5th wh. GVWR is 10,5000. Do we need a ST/LT tire or are the current ones safe and usable. Thank you so much for your help. Becky

Expert Reply:
P series tires should NOT ever be used on a trailer. They are not rated for the vertical load that trailers like your fifth wheel will see. You need to replace your tires with ST rated tires. The closest ST tire size is the ST225/75R15. Which for a wheel and tire in that size with a 6-lug pattern you would want the part # TA57VR for a spare.
For just the tires of this setup you would want the part # TTWTRTM2257515D.
