Does a Trailer Roof Vent Have to be Fully Open to Use a Ultra Breeze Roof Vent Cover

Question:

I have tow Fan-Tastic roof vents on my Tiffin Allegro. I need vent covers so I can use the vent fans while it is raining. The cover recommended is Fan-Tastic Vent Ultra Breeze Trailer Roof Vent Cover - 23inch x 19.5inch x 10.25inch . The vent lid opens to about 12inch height. How can I limit the opening height of the vent lid so it will fit under the 10.25inch height of their recommended vent cover?

With the Fan-Tastic Vent Ultra Breeze Trailer Roof Vent Cover # DMC38FR you may not be able to have the vent cover totally open, but it would be open enough for the vent to still work just fine.

Basically you would just need to open the vent as far as the lid will allow and then leave it there.
