Solution for Trailer that Sags When Generator is In Truck Bed when Using Weight Distribution
Published 07/06/2016 >
Question:
I have a 26 ft travel trailer which I pull with a 2006 Lincoln Mark LT. I sometimes carry an 8000 watt generator, air compressor and tools in the bed. No problems with sag using the Reese WDS when the bed is empty, but loaded with gear and the trailer it does sag. Would the Timbren system be a advisable, or do I need to add a leaf to the rear leaf springs.

The Timbren kit part # TFR150D is going to give you additional suspension support to help out with the weight of your generator, but the ideal solution will be to add more spring bar tension to your weight distribution system. If you can try angling the spring bars further down or use fewer links on chain hangers to see if that helps.
