How Does Rubber Strip on Top of Thule Aeroblade Crossbars Install

Question:
How to the rubber strip into T-slot? From top or side? I almost broke my thumb, and still not able to snap it into the slot. Thanks!

You actually will want to open the end of the crossbar like in the picture I attached and then slide the strip down the end of the crossbar. You would not want to try and press it in. Hope your thumb feels better!
