Can Different Hardware be Used to Mount Rhino Rack Basket to Vortex Crossbars on 2016 Jeep Renegade

Can I use these brackets to mount the Rhino Rack Xtray to the Vortex crossbars? Im looking for a lower profile mount for the underside of the crossbars so that my sunroof can still function on my 2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. The mounting backets that come with the Xtray are very large and take up a lot of space under the crossbars it looks like. Please let me know. Thanks.

I have a possible solution for you but the hardware that comes with the Rhino-Rack Xtray cargo baskets such as # RMCB02 is unique in the way it attaches to the actual basket. Each foot mounts along 2 of the basket's front to back rails so no alternate hardware will fit.
But take a look at the Thule Canyon XT # TH859XT. It uses just the U-Bolts so there is more space between the bottom of the roof rack rails and the top of the vehicle roof so you should have plenty of room for your sunroof.
