Question:

I have a honda valkrie motorcycle and want to tow a trailer with independent turn signal lights and brake lights. Can I use this unit on my bike and trailer . The trailer is a escapade motorcycle trailer.

Actually, you would not need a converter style wiring harness on your Honda Valkyrie because motor cycles also have separate turn signal and brake like circuits like your Escapade trailer. All I need to know is what kind of connector is on the trailer so that we can get you the matching one for the bike.

I looked at some pictures of the trailer and it looks like it uses a 5-Way flat connector. For a vehicle side 5-Way flat you can use # HM47900. The wire with the ring terminal is the ground. The other wires you can wire into the bike's lights so that the functions of the pins match what the trailer requires. So for example if the pin next to the ground on the trailer side is the tail light pin you would wire the pin next to the ground on the bike side to the tail light circuit.

You can use quick splice connector # SWC501746-1 to splice into the bike's wiring. These are sold in quantities of 1.
