Recommended Economical Bike Rack for 2014 Jeep Cherokee
Question:
I am interested in a bike rack for my 2014 Jeep Cherokee. I like the idea of trailer hitch and bike rack for up to 4 bikes. I was thinking I would need a replacement lock. I am trying to keep cost down and end up with a pretty good assembly. I have looked at Hitch C13172, Rack 63124, Locking Knob with Bolt SR0018. What am I not including and any other suggestions.

The Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13172 that you referenced will fit well on your 2014 Jeep Cherokee to allow you to carry a bike rack.
I recommend the Swagman Trailhead 4 Bike Rack # S63380. This rack features dual arms to provide better stability for your bikes, and these arms can be folded down for better storage when the rack is not in use. Additionally, the anti-sway cradles secure the bikes at a 3rd point to help prevent bike-to-bike contact during travel. In order to lock this rack to the vehicle, you will want the Anti-Rattle Lock # S64029.
If you plan on carrying any women's or alternative framed bikes that lack the traditional upper frame bar found on men's bikes or smaller children's bikes, I recommend using a bike adapter bar, like # 64005. This will make installing the back on the rack easier, and will allow you to carry the bike more level on the rack.
If you would like to secure the bikes to the rack, I recommend a locking cable, the 10 Foot Long Cable Lock # e98891. This will allow you to weave the cable around the bikes and lock it to deter theft of your bikes.
