Will a Trailer Hitch Fit on a 2009 BMW 523i Built in Germany

Question:
Is there a difference between BMW American and European models? My sedan 2009 523i BMW is German made. Would this part fit on it? Thanks

I spoke with my contact at Curt about trailer hitch # 11498. He stated that as long as the 2009 BMW 532i was built for use in the United States market, then the hitch will fit. If it was intended for use in Europe then the hitch is not recommended as the European market has different standards then the U.S. and DOT regulations.
