Question:

I recently picked up a 2016 F150 XLT Super Crew with the 5.0, short bed and 3.31 axle. Rated towing I believe is 9,000#. It replaced a 2012 XLT, same configuration but a different axle. Im towing a 29foot Passport camper, dry weight is 4900# and its not packed by any means. Hitch is an EQualizer HD, rated to I believe 14000#. The only way I can describe whats happening is when I hit 65mph, theres what I can only describe as a yaw happening in my truck. Ive never pushed past it, but Id like to know whats happening so I can address it! Thanks for any ideas!

I'm assuming that this isn't happening when you're not towing, correct? When the trailer is hitched up, and the Equal-I-zer weight distribution system is used the trailer is locked into place behind the trailer, more or less forced to track along behind the truck. Ruts or undulations in the pavement can cause the rear truck axle to sway a bit, which causes the yaw you mentioned.

Roadmaster offers a rear anti-sway bar, part # RM-1139-177 that will keep the rear truck axle perpendicular to the direction of travel which will eliminate the feeling that the truck wants to wander all over or yaw.
