For your 2012 Nissan Versa , I'd recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11256. This is a Class I hitch with 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. You'll want to use a cargo carrier that's compatible with a Class I hitch, like the Curt # C18110. A cargo net like # RLN1-RTD4 would also be a good addition.
