Is Installing Base Plate on a 1991 Mazda Miata for Flat Towing Difficult

In reviewing the questions and review on this base plate, I see a range of dialogues on how easy/hard it is to install. My guess is that the ease of installation varies a bit by make and model. Ill be installing this on a 91 Mazda Miata. How is the installation process specifically for this car? Are step-by-step directions or a video provided? Also, is it easier to install this base plate than the quick disconnectinch model? How much does this base plate weigh? Thanks!

You are correct in that base plate kit installs vary quite a bit from vehicle to vehicle. The # 711-2 which is a fit for your 1991 Mazda Miata is actually one of the easiest to install that I have ever seen.
I attached a link to the install instructions for you to check out but basically you just hold them in place and run bolts through them to in place.
The XL part # 711-4 is also a fit but requires an additional bracket but it still installs pretty easily.
