Helpful Expert Reply:
We keep a small selection of axles on hand with the most popular hub face and spring center dimensions. The straight axles we offer don't exactly match the ones you currently have, although they're pretty close.
You could use one of the standard axles we offer that would be 2 inches longer than your current axle, which means that you'd be sticking out 1 inch more on each side. You'd need to grind off the spring seats, and install new ones, part # TRSS238 in the proper spot. I've linked you to our 3500lb axle beams. If this won't work for you, you'll need to order a custom built axle from Dexter. If this sounds like something you'd want to do, reply with your City, State and Zip Code and I'll try to get you in touch with somebody in your area that can order an axle for you.
Another choice would be to use a Timbren Axle Less suspension, if you click the provided link, you can see the available Timbren Axle Less suspension systems we offer, some include idler or brake hubs.
In all honesty, going with the # 35545I-EZ-89 you referenced, replacing the spring centers and living with the extra inch protruding from each side would be the easiest and least expensive way to go.
