Question:
I currently have the voyager in 97 F250HD. I am thinking of upgrading to the prodigy P3. It appears to have a easier set up, and you can read numbers instead of the brightness of a orange to red light. Is it worth it or am I achieving the same results. If I do upgrade, is my Voyager harness compatible with the P3 harness or will I need to do more wiring? Thank you for you input!

The P3 brake controller # 90195 is several rungs up the ladder from the Voyager so it is very much worth it! The easy to read display is just one benefit. The P3 also has easy to read diagnostics, numerous setting options, and it is compatible with both electric brakes and electric over hydraulic brakes. And another benefit is that it can be mounted a full 360 degrees in the direction of travel (just not tilted or turned to one side).
The P3 and Voyager do use the same wiring harness, # 3035-P, that you have on your 1997 Ford F-250HD so you will not have to add a different or do any additional wiring! I have included a link to a video showing installation on a similar truck.
