Trimming Rubber Channel In Bottom Of Vortex Aero Crossbars For Roof Rack

Question:

On the length strip on Rhino Rack 2500 do you trim the strip up to the 0zero mark before cutting to the specified length ? the edge is rounded and is appx 1/8 inch from zero mark to the end ? will the excess make a big difference? I cut the strip to 135mm from zero the the mark however as I said its about an 1/8 inch to the end. Thanks

I called my contact at Rhino Rack and asked about trimming the rub er strip you asked about on the 2500 bars.

They told me if it says to cut 135mm, then you just need to cut at the 135mm mark and you should not worry about measuring 135 from the end with the excess 1/8 inch of material.
