According to Thule, the Thule Passage 2 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount, # TH910XT, will fit your 2006 BMW 3 Series. I have included a video review below. You may also be interested in the Alternative Frame Bike Adapter Bar, # TH982XT, for bike frames that do not have a top frame bar that is parallel to the ground. I have included a video review of this adapter below.
