Question:

Can the Derale Transmission Coolers - D13504 be used on a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo I6 242 cid? This class IV cooler does not list this engine type....

Transmission coolers like the Derale # D13504 are not actually vehicle-specific; the largest size cooler that you can fit and properly install can be used but adapter fittings may be required. Derale cooler # D13504 is an efficient Class IV type transmission cooler that measures 11-inches wide x 12-inches tall x 7/8-inch deep. As long as you have space to mount the cooler you're ok to install it.

Use adapter # D13028 if your transmission hose has an inner diameter of 3/8-inches. You can alternatively use # HH41413 if you prefer. The difference is in the manufacturer and the additional hose clamps.
