Shackle Bolt for Trailer Suspension With 7/16 inch Diameter
Updated 03/24/2016 | Published 03/22/2016 >
Question:
I am replacing my trailer spring bushings, shackles and shackle bolts. I have the correct bushings and shackles in my cart but as for the shackle bolts My old shackle bolts are stepped like your 007-187-00 Redline Step Wet Bolt but without the grease fitting. I am going back with Nylon bushings, so there is no need for the grease fitting, but I do not see any other step Bolts offered. Are the bolts without the step direct replacements or should I just get the wet bolts, and not grease them?? Thanks

The only 7/16 diameter bolt we have is the wet bolt part # 34007-187-00 that you referenced that is stepped. The good news is that you don't have to grease wet bolts if you don't want to. Aside from the zerk fitting it's really no different from a standard shackle bolt.
Sounds like this would work just fine for you.
