The CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror, Clamp-On # CM11980 that you referenced will work well for a towing mirror on your 2014 Nissan Xterra. This towing mirror will allow you to extend the mirror out to provide you with the best view of the road and your trailer. I have attached a review video of the # CM11980 mirror for you.
Personally, I like the K-Source Universal Towing Mirror, Clip-On # KS3891. This mirror attaches to your Xterra's mirrors by clipping on the top and bottom of the mirror housing, and is secured with 2 ratchet straps. I recommend this mirror because the snug fit of the # KS3891 helps reduce mirror vibration. I have attached a review video of this mirror for you as well.
I have attached a link to all of our universal towing mirrors for you. We do not have any custom fit towing mirrors for the 2014 Xterra.
