Question:

The trailer I want to tow requires 14 from the ground to the top of the ball. What ball mount should I order for a #24792 Cl 1 Draw-Tite?

On the Draw-Tite Class I Trailer Hitch, # 24792, for the 2008 Honda CR-V, you will need # 3592. On a Class I trailer hitch you can only use the ball mount that is recommended for the hitch, because it will have the correct rise or drop needed to tow a trailer properly for that particular vehicle.

Draw-Tite Ball Mount, # 3592, has to be used only in the rise position. The rise on this ball mount is 2-1/8 inches.

The hitch height on the # 24792 hitch on your vehicle is 12-7/8 inches and you said the coupler height on your trailer is 14 inches, so since the coupler height is taller you will need a rise of (14 inches - 12-7/8 inches = 1-1/8 inches). The closest rise available would be the 2-1/8 inches which is the # 3592 ball mount that is the one that comes with your hitch.

This hitch with the ballmount will work fine on towing your trailer with your 2008 Honda CR-V.

Depending on the coupler size on the trailer you will be towing you will need either a Tow Ready 1-7/8 inch Hitch Ball, # 19256, or a Tow Ready 2 inch Hitch Ball, # 19258.

The trailer wiring harness you would need is the Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness, # 118427.

I am sending a video link of the Draw-Tite being installed on a 2009 Honda CR-V. It will show the hitch height at the end of the video.
