The Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler, item # D15902, system is a great choice for your 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan, especially if you are using your vehicle for towing. You will need to be sure there is room in front of the air conditioning condenser or radiator for the cooler to install. The dimensions of the cooler itself are 17 inches wide x 12-1/2 inches tall x 3/4 inches deep.
The system installs inline with the transmission fluid and engine oil return on the vehicle so it is a pretty universal application. The kit supplied with the combination cooler will include multiple adapter sleeve nuts, one of which, will work on your Grand Caravan. You will then use the standard size oil filter on the new filter landing on the sandwich adapter.
The one issue you will want to check for is the distance that the filter will be set off of the engine with the sandwich adapter in place. You will need to check to be sure there is enough room so that the filter can be set off by 1-3/4 inches, and you will still be able to remove and install the filter for oil changes.
If there is not enough room you can use the Derale Oil Filter Relocation Kit - 3/4-16 Engine Filter Threads, item # D15715, to relocate the filter to a new more accessible location and use the Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler on your vehicle.
