Question:
will the base plate for a 1997 ford ranger fit a 2003 ford ranger, thank you

Expert Reply:
We do have two possible options for a 2003 Ford Ranger. First are base plates # 483-1, which will fit the XL and XLT models. Second is # 477-1 which will fit the Edge model with a tow hook. The base plates for a 1997 Ford Ranger, # 435-3, will not fit on a 2003 Ford Ranger.
If you need a tow bar, I recommend the RoadMaster Tracker Tow Bar, # RM-020. With this tow bar, to make the XL extensions removable, you would also need Roadmaster Tow Bar Quick Disconnect Kit, # RM-201.
