Question:
I just bought a cargo mate 28foot enclosed car hauler with LT225/75r16 tires on it and want to get the right ST tire for it. What is recommended? I was quoted for a 235/80r16.

Whoever recommended you a 235/80R16 as a replacement for your LT225/75R16 tires on your trailer was correct.
That would be the closest tire size to what you have.
For a Load Range E trailer tire in that size you would want the part # TTWTRTM2358016E. This is a ST235/80R16 sized radial tire size with a capacity of 3,520 lbs at 80 psi. With ST tires you have to keep the tire inflated to the max psi to ensure you get the full capacity.
