Tailgate Assist Recommendation for a 1997 Chevy Silverado

Question:
Will this DeeZee tailgate asst for 1999-2007 fit on my 97 silverado regular bed? I couldnt find any for my truck year. ..thank in advance

We have a tailgate assist that has been confirmed as a fit for your 1997 Chevy Silverado, but the part # DZ43100 is not it.
Instead you would want the part # 74211 which is a confirmed fit. This will actually make the tailgate feel lighter on the way up and down so it would be the setup I would want if it were me.
