Replacement Key for a SportRack Ski Carrier with Lock E025

Question:
I have a sportrack ski rack from 2005 with key cylinder code e025, but have lost the key. I know that I have seen comments that Thule and Sportrack are sister companies and that the E, N, etc. essentially are the same as long as the number in the code matches. Can you confirmt that this THKEYN025 should work for my rack?

Replacement key # THKEYN025 SHOULD work but sometimes they just won't. This is usually a problem on older SportRack carriers. Your 2005 is newer so it should not be an issue. Although you may notice that the new key doesn't seat all the way in the old lock. If this is the case, the key will not turn. If that happens you can persuade the key to seat all the way my tapping it in with a mallet so it can turn and open the lock.
