Question:
Just wondering what transmission cooler would be best for towing a 3750 lb boat and trailer with my 2005 Acura MDX. Also, if there was a video of the installation on a MDX. I watched the Honda CRV install but am wondering if there is a huge difference between an MDX and CRV install. Your help is much appreciated.

The Class of transmission cooler you use will depend more on where you can mount it. The most efficient place is in front of the AC condenser. You could then use a Class I cooler, like # D12901.
If mounted behind the condenser, I would go with a Class II like # D12906. If mounted behind the radiator I would go with a Class III like # D13502. The problem is that the further away from the front of the vehicle a cooler is mounted, the less airflow it receives. The less airflow a coolers receives, the less efficient it is so you would have to go with a larger cooler to compensate for the lost efficiency.
We do not have a video install on a 2005 Acura MDX but the installation will be very similar as in the video for the CR-V. I have also included a link to an FAQ article on Transmission coolers below.
