I pulled from our warehouse a sample of the Erickson E-Track Strap with Ratchet # EM59140 so that I could determine how far the strap tail will extend from the wall or other attachment point when this part of the assembly is installed in an E-Track.
When the strap is extended so that it is taut, the steel E-Track fitting and the nearest edge of the ratcheting mechanism's handle (when in the down position, nearest to the fitting) will be 4-3/4-inches apart. When the handle is up there will be approximately 6-inches between the nearest edges of the fitting and ratchet frame, as shown.
