Installing Reese Replacement Crossmember Head Support # RP58147

Question:
Fastened the crossmember to its lowest position on the hitch. Looking at it from the side view, the top of the crossmember slopes slightly toward the front of the hitch......the 4 bolts and holes are all lined up so this must be the correct position. Can you confirm this please........... Thanx.

When properly installed the Reese Replacement Crossmember Head Support # RP58147 which fits their 5th Wheel hitch # RP58146 will slope rearward slightly if installed on a slider base. If used with a fixed hitch base it should be essentially level. It is possible that the unit is installed in a reversed position.
