Safety Chain Hooks Recommendation for 2016 Chevy Silverado Trailer Hitch
Updated 01/06/2016 | Published 01/05/2016 >
Question:
The hitch on my 2016 Silverado has a strange opening for hooking the safety chains. The chains on both of my trailers have an S type hook and are difficult to connect. I like the idea of the coiling cables like #DL20119 but I am not sure they will fit through the holes either. I have included a photo of the hitch. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The 40" Vinyl Coated Safety Cables # DL20119 that you referenced would work on the safety chain loops of the hitch in the picture you attached. You would just need to push the clevis back on the hooks so that it could be slid through the safety chain loop.
