Review of Dutton-Lainson Accessories and Parts DL20119

Today, we're going to be taking a look at Part Number DL20119. These are the 40 inch vinyl-coated safety cables. They're going to have the clevis hooks on one end. Then, exposed cable hook or a loop on the other end. It's got a nice plate going along the inside of the cable so it's going to prevent any type of damage or anything happening to the cable once you have it connected to the trailer. It's going to include two cables. They're going to measure 5/16th of an inch in diameter. They're going to have that nice vinyl coating right around the surfacing of the cable.

The vinyl coating is going to protect the cables from anything damaging them or unfraying. It's also going to protect any type of surface that the cables will make contact with, which is going to reduce scratches and abrasions. Nice coil design, so when they're not being used they're going to be coiled up just like this. Even when they are connected, they're only going to stretch to the length that's needed. So, it really does reduce and eliminate dragging and any types of sounds like rattling or jingling that you may hear as you go down the road. It's going to have the clevis hooks on one end. They're going to have the spring-loaded safety latch that's going to prevent accidental unhooking. You can use these on trailers up to 6,500 pounds.

When the cables are fully extended, they're going to measure 40 inches long. If you're going to mount this to your trailer using some hardware, your hardware is sold separately. It's going to require 5/8th inch diameter bolts and 5/8th inch flat washers and lock nuts. Again, those items are sold separately. If your trailer has a mounting stub with a hole in it, you can simple just add a quick link to the end of the cable. We offer those here on our website.

They're going to be sold separately as Part Number 49135. These cables meet SAE and V5 standards. That's going to do it for our review of Part Number DL20119. .
