Snow Chain Recommendation to fit P275/65-18 and the 285/65-18 Tires

Updated 12/30/2015 | Published 12/29/2015

Question:

Im shopping for tire chains but have a question about sizing. Id like to buy chains to fit my current P275/65-18 tires, however they have 40 tread left and I intend for my next tire to be 285/65-18. Looking at the chains available, there seems to be different models for these sizes, even though they are close in tire size. Can you advise if I can buy chains for 285/65-18 and get them to work on my 275 tires for the short term? Im looking specifically at the TC3829CAM and TC3835CAM for 285 tires although I cant seem to tell the difference between the two models

Expert Reply:

For a great set of tire chains that have been confirmed to fit both the P275/65-18 and the 285/65-18 you would want the Titan chains part # TC2327.

These chains are easy to install, provide great traction and are priced great as well. I attached a review video for you to check out as well.

You will need to check the owners manual of your vehicle to determine if there are any restrictions for use with tire chains.
