Trailer Coupler Recommendation for a 2 inch Channel for a 1-7/8 inch Hitch Ball
Updated 12/01/2015 | Published 11/29/2015 >
Question:
I have a 2inch trailer coupler on a log splitter that I just bought that I will pull with my ATV. All of my other implements use a 1 7/8 ball. I would like to replace the 2inch coupler with a 1 7/8 coupler that has the same bolt pattern. Is that available ? Hole spacing between bolts is approx 3.

For a coupler to fit a 2 inch channel that will work with a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball you would want something like the part # E112000340. Since the mounting holes aren't 3 inches apart you will need to have this coupler welded to the trailer instead since none of the options we have 3 inches between the mounting holes.
Since this coupler is galvanized you will need to do all welding in a well ventilated area.
