Question:
Hello. I have a 2002 BMW 325I sedan. I would like to use a Harbor Freight trailer that weighs about 260 lb to carry two 235 lb motocross bikes and 40 lb of gear. The trailer is 4x8foot with a 2inch ball receiver. Do you think this hitch and model car is suitable for the task? Thanks for your help.

The Curt Class I Receiver Hitch # C11174 has a towing capacity up to 2,000 pounds. However, I was unable to find a towing capacity for your 2002 BMW 325i. Your best bet will be to consult your local BMW dealership to find you vehicle's towing capacity.
If you determine that your BMW is capable of towing the cargo you are wanting to tow, the Curt hitch # C11174 will work great for you. The drawbar that is recommended for use with this hitch is the # C45510. For a 2 inch diameter hitch ball, you can use # 19258. The pin and clip is part # F-4. The wiring harness I recommend is the Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected # 119250KIT.
