Hello, I just bought a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali with Duramax diesel with a 6.5 foot bed. We will be purchasing a fifth wheel RV and need a recommendation for the best RV Hitch for the bed of my truck. We have always towed trailers and this will be our first fifth wheel. There are several manufacturers and because you see so many of these hitches and hear lots of great customer feedback, your recommendation for best form, fit, function, installation, and general quality and ease of use would be incredibly appreciated. Since you have a short bed truck you are going to need to get a slider fifth wheel hitch to allow you to make tight turns. Since getting out and operating the slider every time you get to a parking lot can be a bit of a hassle I would recommend the Demco Hijacker AutoSlide part # DM8550022.

This hitch will automatically slide back when making tight turns. If you are looking for the best setup this would be it.

The rail kit you would want would be the underbed kit part # DM8551010 that has been confirmed as a fit for your truck. Underbed kits are great because they leave the bed of the truck empty when the hitch isn't being used for unrestricted truck bed use.

For a 7-way to install in the bed of your truck you would also want the part # PK11893-11932.
