What Material is the Thule Watersport Bow/Stern Tie Down Rope

Question:
Could you tell me what material the Thule replacement ropes for water-sport carriers is made out of? Im talking about the 1/4 12-foot blue ropes that are used as a bow or stern line when car-topping a kayak. Thanks,

I spoke with my contact at Thule, and the 1/4 inch bow/stern tie down is nylon rope.
