Can Party Light Holders be Left On when Storing an Awning

Question:
Can these be left in place when storing the awning if you remove the s hook?

You could only leave the party light holders # CAM42693 in place if they do not interfere with or touch any moving parts of the awning that operate while stowing or retracting the awning. They are designed to fit the roller bar channel so it is possible that they could cause interference.
