Thule Snow Chain Recommendation for 2012 Land Rover LR4 with 255/55R19 Tires

Updated 10/02/2015 | Published 10/01/2015

Question:

First, I like what Ive read about the Thule chain noted above. I just purchased a 2012 Land Rover LR4 with new 255/55R19 tires. My question is this...if I want to size up to 275/50-19, or 275/55-19 in the future...can I buy a chain unit that will fit both the current tires on the vehicle, and the larger tires I will move to when the time comes? If so, what are my options? If not, what do you suggest I look at for Seattle mountain snow/ice, and the occasional Mt Rainier winter adventure? Thanks very much for your help!!

Since your tires are brand new they will most likely last you a while. I would go with the Thule chains part # TH01571265 that you referenced since they are confirmed as a fit for the 255/55R19.

This chain size will not fit the other two sizes you mentioned so I would wait till you know for certain that you would upgrade to the larger tires before you pick out a set of chains for them as well.

I attached an install video for these chains for you to check out as well.

Be sure to check the owners manual of your vehicle for any snow tire restrictions.
