Need Replacement Trailer Tires for Size R78-13 on a 1989 Palomino Pop-up Camper

Question:

My son purchased a used Palomino TXL hard side 1989 pop up camper trailer - the tires are bad and we noticed it even has two different tire sizes!!! On original Vanguard Palomino information, it says the tires that come/came with the pop up camper are: R78 x 13inch I cannot find this particular size camper tire..... can you help, please?

The old tire size of 78-13 is going to be either a 175/80-13 or a 185/80-13. Since you mentioned that the tires were different sizes I would assume that you potentially need to also replace the wheels.

There are 2 different bolt patterns for the wheels in these sizes; 4 on 4 or 5 on 4-1/2. So if it has 4 lug nuts holds on the wheel then it is a 4 on 4 and 5 lug nuts would indicate a 5 on 4-1/2. I have linked all of the tire and wheel combos in both tire sizes for you.

The tires you choose will need to be rated properly for the gross weight of the trailer. The tires will need to exceed that gross trailer weight capacity. I have included some additional links on trailer tires for you.
