Yes, you could run some 10 gauge wire, such as # 10-1-1 sold by the foot, from the battery isolation solenoid # PK5231201 to the positive terminal on the trailer battery. However, at best this will provide a maintenance charge only to the trailer battery, preventing it from losing any additional charge while that wire is connected and the vehicle is running.
The best solution is to have a maintenance charge on the trailer battery as described above but charge up the battery using an AC power charger such as # CTEK56353.

I was also wonder, I have a 2018 GMC Sierra Denali 2500 duramax and the power to the Trailer is hot. My questions is how do I install the tow ready battery isolation solenoid? I did it on my 2007 duramax but I just don’t know where to start on this 2018. Thank you
