Hello, Is this what i need to be able to tow a small trailer? Whats the difference between this and C59496? BTW, I installed the C11188 Trailer Hitch. It works great and fits my car perfectly!

I'm glad to hear that you're happy with the hitch you purchased!

Curt hasn't tested a wiring harness on your vehicle, so they couldn't make a recommendation. The correct harness will depend on what kind of wiring system your S5 uses. You'll need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 on the circuits feeding the taillight assemblies. You could have a 3-wire or a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) system.

Regardless of the type, the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT will work with either of them. This is a universal kit that will install on your Audi without splicing into your existing wires. I have attached some video for you to learn more about the harness and the installation process.
