Question:
I purchased the Draw-Tite IV controller and the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter 3035-P to install on my 2000 Ford F150. I found a notice regarding the Stoplight Switch Connection on 1998-2005 models. The notice warns that the red wire with green stripe goes to ground with the pedal is not depressed and will cause a short to ground when the Manual control is actuated, destroying the unit. It states, When making the stopligh wire connection on 1998-2005 models, connect to the light green wire from the stoplight switch. Does the plug-in wiring adapter 3035-P correct this potential problem or do I have to make a change in the wiring adapter?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The warning you are referring to is only a concern if you were hardwiring in the brake controller and not using the wiring harness. Since you are using wiring harness # 3035-P you will not have to change anything to complete the installation on your 2000 Ford F-150. I have linked a video showing installation of a brake controller on a 200 Ford F-150 using the 3035-P harness for you.
