How To Determine What Bearings Are Needed On Travel Trailer
Published 08/28/2015 >
Question:
Wondering what the bearings would be for a 5.30-12 trailer tire
asked by: SHAWN
Helpful Expert Reply:
When replacing bearings on a trailer, you will need to know what size bearings will fit the spindle on your trailer axle. The best way is to remove the old bearings and check for the numbers on the bearing. That way you get an exact match. If you are unable to find the numbers on the bearing, you will need to measure the spindle surface as shown in the attached drawing to make sure you get the right size.
Because the load range can vary on tires that are 5.30-12 it would be difficult to say what size bearing should be used on your system.
