Question:
I did some checking on fitting the Yakima Two Timer since the Thule T2 receiver attachment is way to short. The Yakima Two Timer would fit since it has 12inch from the center of the hitch pin. The LR3 and LR4 need at least 7. The issue then is the Yakima Fat Bike straps. They only fit to tires less than 4.5inch wide. My Specialized Fatboy has 4.6inch tires other fat bikes go up to 5. I can probably air down the tires, but that would be a pain. I was also told the Kuat NV 2 has optional straps to fit fat bike tires. I havent been able to track down the size of the replacement straps. Looking at your description of the Kuat, it needs 7.75inch to fold. How much of the hardware sticks up beyond the 7.75? Id think it would be awful tight when folded up. Thanks

The Kuat NV 2.0 # NV22G measures 10-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin to the nearest part of the carrier when down, and 7 inches from the center of the hitch pin to the nearest part of the carrier when folded. If your 2006 Land Rover LR3 has 7 inches of clearance, the Kuat NV 2.0 would not fit well on your vehicle in the folded position.
The tire adapters for the Kuat NV 2 are part # APBK. With these adapters, the NV 2 can hold a bike with tires up to 4-1/4 inches wide. This adapter is not large enough to fit your approximately 4-5/8 inch wide tire.
I recommend the Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack For Fat Bikes # SA4412B-FB. This bike rack will fit tires up to 5 inches wide. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest wheel tray is 10 inches, and the rack has a weight capacity of 60 pounds per bike. This carrier will fit trailer hitches with a 1-1/4 inch receiver or a 2 inch receiver.
