Question:
Will the grease seal GS-2250dl work with the hub/drum assembly 8-219-4uc3? The hub/drum on my trailer are oil bath with 2.25 seal ID. The bearings on mine are the same as this hub/drum. I had lots of trouble with the oil seals, so I switched to grease and grease seals. Problem solved. I will need to replace my hub/drums in the future, so I would like to use the less expensive hub/drum 8-219-4uc3 instead of the oil bath hub/drum. Thanks

Expert Reply:
Yes, the grease seal part # GS-2250DL would work in the Trailer Hub part # 8-219-4UC3 that you referenced.
Or to order the same hub with the right seal for your application you would want the Hub part # 42866UC3 as this comes with the #GS-2250DL.
