Question:
I have a dual axle travel trailer. Presently have st205/75R14 tires which give me approx. 2,5 inches of space between tires. Want to go to st215/75r14 which will leave me approx. 1 inch of tire seperation between the dual tries. The question is : what is the recomended spacing , Is 1 one inch too close ???

Expert Reply:
At the very least there should be 2 inches between the tires on a dual axle trailer. This will allow the suspension components room to work properly. I have included links to some of our FAQ articles on tires for you to check out as well.
