can you tell me if a hith mount bike rack is compatable with 2011 rav4 with spare mounted on hatch door?id appreciate any help. thanks much!

To determine if a Bike Carrier will clear the spare of your 2011 Toyota Rav4 you will need to take one measurement. You will need to measure from the center of the hitch pin on your hitch out to the furthest point at the rear of your spare. This will tell you how much clearance you need.

An option you do have is a spare tire mounted bike rack like Yakima SpareTime 2 # Y02599. Check out the installation instructions and review video I attached for this product.

If you plan on carrying womens or alternative framed bikes without a horizontal top tube you may also be interested in purchasing a Yakima Top Tube Adapter # Y02531 to allow the bikes to be installed level. Check out the installation instructions and video I attached for this product.
