Recommended Ladder Rack for 2015 Ford F150 Short Bed For Reduced Wind Noise

Question:

I am looking for a ladder rack that goes over the cab that does not howl in the wind. I recently purchased one from Harbor Freight and had to take it off the same day due to the excessive noise. Any suggestions?

Any ladder rack added to the vehicle will cause some wind noise, it's the nature of the beast.

You can minimize this by going with a rack system that uses streamlined crossbars, like those offered by TracRac.

I'd recommend the TracRac # TH37002XT-EX. The rack is constructed of durable but light aluminum, so you won't need to worry about rust. The rack has a huge 1000 lb capacity. This rack will not completely eliminate wind noise, but it will be much less than racks using square or round tubing.
