Question:
I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE C74VV CURT CONTROLLER HAS A PIG TAIL CONNECTOR AND SO DOES THE 51453 HARNESS HOW DO THESE CONNECT IF BOTH HAVE THE SAME CONNECTOR. IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE I SHOULD BE PURCHASING? OR DO I NEED TO SPLICE THESE TOGETHER??

Expert Reply:
The Curt wiring adapter # C51453 is vehicle-specific and is used to connect a Curt brake controller like their Venturer # C74VV into a compatible Dodge Ram. In such an installation the black connectors from the controller and harness join together and the grey connectors on the harness will plug in to the under-dash port on the truck. If you were to want to hardwire the Reflex into just about any vehicle you could use the pigtail harness # C51515.
