Question:
I have a few questions regarding this hitch. 1. Where does the underbody panel reside and what is the level of trimming required? 2.Does the package include all the nuts and bolts required to do the installation? 3. Any idea as to how many people have actually installed this hitch on their 135is?

On the CURT Class I 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # 11184, for the 2010 BMW 135is the under body panels are at the rear of the vehicle underneath behind the rear fascia. Detailed trimming information is provided in the installation instructions (see link).
All of the hardware required to install the hitch on your BMW 135i coupe or convertible is included.
I have no idea how many of these hitches have been installed on the BMW 135i, but in the last several months we have sold more than 10 of them and I have not heard of any complaints about installation or performance of the hitch.
Some items you may need to complete your Class I towing setup are listed below.
Hitch Ball 1-7/8 inch, item # 19256
Hitch Ball 2 inch, item # 19258
Wiring, item # C59496
