RTV Sealant Recommendation for Oil Seal for Dexter Axles

Do you need to use any RTV sealant with these seals. I have had problems with leakage on the unitized oil seals and I am wondering it I need to use sealant.

The Unitized Oil Seal # 10-51 would require that you apply RTV like part # LT37464 to the outer diameter of the seal before you install it per Dexter's seal installation instructions.

This seal is designed as a replacement for Dexter 9K and 10K axles.

The Lippert 4,400 lb axles use the same bearings and seals as a Lippert 3,500 lb axle so you can use the Bearing Kit for #84 Spindle part #BK2-100 or just the Grease Seal part #RG06-050.
